I turned a gold brooch into a belt button for these shorts

One nice way to formalize a bottom that has a zip fly but no visible closure. Also wore this outfit to my kids modern orthodox Jewish day school to pick them up. Wouldn't recommend wearing underwear in such an environment! You live, you learn, you unlearn, repeat.

An evergreen outfit superhero? The personality belt

The short of it is that it can literally change the shape of your outfit or simply serve as a new dynamic you add to the character of your look. And there is so much access to good quality stuff at reasonable prices because of consignment shopping now! Some ideas (both reasonable and not) in the links next to me.
How to wear crochet in a city.

Have had this photo of Lucy Chadwick bookmarked for years -- it never gets old. Perfect time of year for it, too

What to wear to family lunch.

Like Mothers or Father’s Day or whatever. The benefit of getting a pair jeans one size too big is that you can even tuck a jacket into them. The caveat is that the jacket has to be thin enough that it could also, basically, be a shirt, but you get what I mean, right?
The vibe is: “Who does she think she is?”

Alternatively: “Goes to Italy once”.
How to wear underwear in public.

Saw this outfit on a woman walking through soho last Saturday, it was a good one so I replicated.
Summer uniform established.

One for vacation anyway — a big skirt is a great balance for a bathing suit top/bra-as-top. And then the belt anchors it — adds a bit of metropolitan pizzazz to an otherwise non outfit.

Sometimes a simple outfit needs an easy add of flair.

A few pieces of jewelry that have a sense of humor can go a long way!
A good bridge look for a Spring day that is like, one degree colder than you want it to be.

The satin shoes are playing on the satin coat so that the interior look can be all utility all the time
Big “just get dressed up” energy.

A good thing to wear to dinner on a Saturday night when you want to be dressed up but also in shorts and a t-shirt.
Turns out this is a great look for 62 degrees and rainy.

Surprised by how useful this wrap sweater has been this spring. Good with jeans but better with an elastic waist band. And because it’s so feminine I recommend more masculine/shaped shoes as a compliment (the ones I’m wearing, for example, are on a very wide last). Fringe jacket games still going p. Strong!
When the weather actually feels like spring

Try a fringe jacket with classic jeans and a sweater so “quiet” you barely see it and I’m wearing moccasins but if it were nicer I’d probably have on flip flops.
A great sandal silhouette for spring/summer.

But especially spring because I find that a walkable wedge with a skimpy upper (as in, top of shoe) looks great with pants in that they lighten them up, or with mid-length dresses and skirts. These ones are from Rouje. Love these from Emme Parsons too. And you can never -- not ever! -- go wrong with MNZ. The key if they're backless is to make sure that the strap contains most of the top of your foot so that you don't slide out/make that flapping sound every time you walk (personally, I find the sound funny and charming, but it is an acquired taste!)
What to wear when you need to look respectful but don't want to sacrifice spunk.

A soft color polo is probably the best foundational garment to nail this. Paired mine with wide leg jeans that are trouser-y on account of the dramatic paintwork but also because they're not blue jean. Concealed the button with a belt and the shoes are dainty, so they add good balance.
Still pretty into purse necklaces.

Haven't dropped my phone once since I started wearing it, but admittedly, it does bother my neck if I have it for too long. These are suppsed to be worn cross body: I tie a big knot in the back of mine and turn it into a necklace, then string it around the inner of my collar. The one from The Row is my fav. The trick might be finding one with a bit of hardware.
What to wear to get coffee.

Not that you need an outfit idea! But maybe? So glad to be back out of pants. This striped shirt, btw, is basically like a summer sweatshirt. Right amount of boxy and stuff so nice when you let it hang loose.
How to wear a sexy dress like a man repeller.

JAF -- just add fringe. And some knee high socks. ballet flats too.
What to wear on a Saturday when it’s 70 degrees and you’re leaving home in the morning and might not get home until after dinner.

A breathable top with jeans and comfortable walking shoes that are also casual enough to counter a slightly fancy top. I think the suede is key. Also, for the top, I think color is more important than silhouette. Opt for something “sandy.” The vibe is subtle western runway.
For a day w your kids.

Supposing you don’t mind getting white pants dirty. But it will wash out, they’re jeans, don’t sweat it!
Not really sure where you’d wear this one.

Out for girls night? A wedding at a restaurant? I love how tiny the dress is, makes for a great foil to a nerdy combo like white socks and black loafers. Sweater around shoulders optional, I use it as a security blanket.
What to wear to the first spring dinner.

Floral pants with an animal print belt, but for all the other items, keep it bland. A shirt you could wear to work, shoes that could belong to a 70 year old patron of gardening.
What to wear to make a Monday more festive, work edition.

Monochrome colors with one solid item and another that is printed to break it up slightly without losing the plot. Purposely kept the shoes casual (rubber sole, but leather top) to contrast the formal jacket on trousers. I’m wearing Tory Burch pants and a jacket, and have been slouching towards red bottoms and accents a ton lately. Love these kick flares from High Sport, but tbh, these from Adidas are pretty great too. They could be your printed color! Rest of the comps are next to these words.
